Inside Sales Representative

Contivio.com is recruiting an Inside Sales Representative to sell Contivio.com Contact Center in the Cloud to SME’s (5 to 1000 users). The majority of the work will be performed in from Contivio.com’s Bay Area, CA offices, with travel as required to close business. The Inside Sales Rep will conduct on-site client training sessions to insure client satisfaction and to answer questions about clients’ use of Contivio.com software solutions. These on-site training sessions will lead to additional sales opportunities. Sales opportunities may be anywhere in the US or Canada.

Responsibilities 
 
  • The hired candidate will assume the following responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage relationships with prospects over the phone.
  • Identify each prospect’s needs via questionnaires and phone/email interviews.
  • Demonstrate Contivio.com solutions and products via LiveMeeting or a similar type of service.
  • Educate prospects on the benefits of Contivio.com solutions.
  • Provide training to existing customers on our software solutions features and functionality.
  • Prepare and publish proposals and price quotations.
  • Work with internal Contivio.com staff in other functional areas, including direct sales, presales, professional services and customer training to leverage internal expertise and to ensure a smooth sale to the prospect.

Skills, Background and Characteristics Requirements 
 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a technical trainer, presales engineer, product support representative or sales representative for enterprise application software, strong preference for previous contact center sales experience.
  • Understanding of software technology and how that technology can be leveraged to meet business needs for clients and prospects.
  • Premier phone, written and in-person communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to facilitate closing business by coordinating resources from a variety of functional departments within Contivio.com (e.g. presales, training, professional services, etc.)
  • Excellent organization, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Personal characteristics to thrive in a sales environment. The ideal candidate will be goal oriented, competitive, focused, enthusiastic, diligent, open and transparent in actions and communications.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business related field.
  • Ability to travel, as needed, to prospect and client sites. Travel is estimated at 20% to 30%.
